about
Our Glass Lake was recorded in 2009 in Philadelphia, USA, by Mikey Casalaina (Naive Set). Featured throughout is the otherworldly sound of the glass armonica, an all-glass instrument invented by Benjamin Franklin in 1761; which Mikey could get his hands on after-hours while working at the Franklin Institute museum. Over the course of eight compact tracks, the album ranges from hypnotic loops to fully arranged instrumental tracks to embellished voice memos. Our Glass Lake collected dust on a hard drive for 10 years before being remixed and mastered by Mikey Young (Total Control), and finally being released in 2019 by Coaster Records.
