about
Roel van der Meulen AKA roelroel is a songwriter and lo-fi pop musician based in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. His debut album 'I'll Be Fine' was made in his home studio and later mixed/mastered by Jasper Boogaard. He tells us a little about his album:
"By wrapping my insecurities in upbeat pop songs, I hope to make them less heavy subjects. Easier to talk about. Because to me fears and insecurities have been a taboo, things you shouldn’t have. And when expressed, it was something that should be fixed or conquered. But I’ve learned that fears will probably stay with me my whole life. And that they aren’t as heavy and scary as I thought they were. They’re not my enemies, just really clumsy friends."
